About Me

I am a Licensed Professional Counselor, National Certified Counselor, and Approved Clinical Supervisor. I hold a Bachelor's degree in Psychology, a Master of Arts in Clinical Mental Health Counseling, and a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Counseling and Supervision.

I have a decade of experience providing counseling in a variety of different settings such as college counseling centers, inpatient settings, in-home, and outpatient settings. I have worked with clients of all ages coping with anxiety, depression, low self-esteem, racial and multicultural concerns, relationship issues, family of origin issues, life transitions, and trauma.

I believe therapy should provide a space where clients can share their full story, not just their symptoms, and explore the ways culture, family history, relationships, and systemic experiences shape emotional well-being. I understand the importance of representation in therapy and am passionate about creating spaces where clients feel seen, heard, and understood.

My Approach

My therapeutic approach is integrative and tailored to each client's unique needs. Drawing from EMDR, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), and Solution-Focused Therapy, I collaborate with clients to build insight, resilience, and meaningful change.

I am particularly interested in the holistic impact of trauma, intergenerational healing, and the ways family experiences, cultural influences, and historical legacies can shape present-day functioning. Through trauma-informed, evidence-based approaches, I help clients process distressing experiences, reduce emotional distress, and move toward healing and empowerment.

Life throws many unexpected curveballs at us. Sometimes we have our gloves close by and are able to catch them and sometimes we are caught off guard. Whether you are navigating depression, anxiety, trauma, relationship difficulties, identity concerns, or simply feeling stuck, I am here to support you every step of the way while providing a safe place to process your thoughts and experiences.

Outside of Therapy

Outside of my clinical work, I enjoy traveling, spending time with my dogs, journaling, cooking, and connecting with loved ones.
