Cancellation Policy:

Clients must cancel or reschedule appointments at least 24 hours in advance. This is necessary because a time commitment is made and held exclusively for you. Cancellations made with less than 24 hours’ notice or no-shows will incur a late cancellation fee of $100. If you are late for a session, you may lose some of that session time.

Payment Options

Payment is due at the time of service. We accept Credit Cards, HSA, and FSA.

Insurance

Embracing Wellness is currently in-network with Aetna, CareFirst BCBS, Optum Plans, and United Healthcare. Your coverage may vary by your state of residence. We do not accept Medicaid at this time.

Out-of-Network

We are considered out-of-network with any insurance providers other than the ones listed above. If we are not in network with your insurance provider, you will pay the full fee at the time of service and we will provide you with a superbill (detailed invoice) to submit to your insurance company for reimbursement. Here are a few helpful tips for navigating insurance.

Self-Pay

Some people choose to pay for therapy out-of-pocket as a way to secure privacy and increase independence and flexibility in care. When using insurance to pay for therapy, a diagnosis is required in order to bill insurance. This includes individuals seeking therapy for life transitions, stress, or personal growth who may not necessarily have a diagnosable condition.

Vouchers

We accept vouchers from the Loveland Foundation, Mental Health Liberation Fund, and the NQTTCN.

FAQs

What is the process to get started?

We will schedule a free 15 minute phone consultation to discuss your concerns and determine if we’re a good fit to work together.

After our consultation, if we decide to move forward, I will send you an intake form and a welcome packet with more information about what to expect from our sessions. Please be sure to read, complete and submit the intake packet before your first appointment.

Your first session is an initial assessment where we’ll discuss your background, current challenges, and therapy goals. This session helps us understand your unique needs and tailor our approach to best support you.

What is EMDR?

Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) is a specialized psychotherapy approach designed to help individuals process and heal from traumatic experiences. During therapy sessions, clients recall traumatic events while simultaneously engaging in these bilateral tasks, which facilitates a natural healing process. EMDR is particularly effective for individuals with PTSD, helping them to integrate painful memories into a more adaptive narrative and fostering a greater sense of empowerment and emotional resilience. Whats the difference between therapy and coaching?

Therapy is a mental health service designed to help individuals heal from mental health disorders such as trauma, anxiety, depression, and other emotional or psychological issues. Therapy sessions are often more clinical and introspective, focusing on understanding the root causes of challenges. Coaching focuses on personal development and future goals. Coaches work with individuals to identify their aspirations, create action plans, and provide guidance in achieving those goals. Coaching does not include the diagnosis or treatment of mental health disorders. Coaching is also not covered by insurance.
